Interesting Sean...... makes me feel like I just wasted my money. They recommended I purchase the EWG harness to help with the finickiness of the M2 and allow the JB4 to have a little more control. I know it is not used on Map 1 but thought on the N55 it would be used on map 2. So then if not where would it be used on the N55 then. Maybe I need to get back with Steve & Terry to understand

I don't think that jb4 is an issue on the m2. It's the computer/fueling/turbo.
Keep in mind jb4 is just a piggyback. So you can't alternate anything with it. Just plug it in and go. If you want more than yes go bm3 or mhd. But if you just want to add some power and call it a day. Jb4 is perfect for that.

I thought I provided unbiased opinions on various tunes (BM3, JB4, Dinan and a few unpopular European-file based tunes) and they're all based on real world datalogging and INSTRUMENT test results.

BM3 isn't really a tune but rather a platform from which to have easy access to port flash tunes. I'll tell you this: what I am really a fan (not a fan boy, allow me to correct that) of, is some certain great tuner whose tune got distributed thru this platform.

It feels a little weird I spoke highly of JB4 on this every thread (screenshot it for you as below) just before being accused of bashing it on my every post...

There're certain things with our platform a flash tune can do and piggyback can't, vice versa. It would be best in term of power making when they work together.

EWG is an extra $35+ too no where they mention that in their site. Bad Business! I'm glad I read personal experience from SeanWRT and FSociety and took my time and waited for results. Didn't waste my money on jb4, although its a solid piece for regular N55 just not for the M2 unless you're an expert for that custom map6.

Its the jb4 because it cannot adapt/understand the higher boost levels in the M2, hence why only Map6 is really the one that works.
The M2 has no issues with a proper flash after following various companies PTF got it right its not easy at all.

After the track I went and did some straight line pulls way out of town. Well here is what happened. At about 120-125 my fuel cuts out. I'm not getting enough fuel to run map 2. I did a couple passes and all of them yielded the same result. I think I'm going to cancel dyno day on Tuesday and get a new fuel pump, then go dyno. Because what if I'm getting fuel starvation earlier on somewhere?
Fuel Cut is due to map2 pushing ONLY boost and this is not the way.
Do you have any of your logs to see whats happening 0-125 ? Only way to see honestly please get some logs
Don't cancel your Dyno and go on to dyno in 4th gear instead of 5th gear.

I've heard this is a common issue with Map 2 on the JB4 for the M2 - the HPFP crashes due to lack of fueling. The solution to this is to run water-methanol injection or port injection (LPFP Upgrade + Port Injection Rail). The other alternative is to unlock the DME and get a back-end flash like BM3 and the tuner can fine tune the vehicle more than the JB4 can.
+1
I am going on the dyno. I spoke with them they said bring it in and we will see what happens. I don't have the cable to run logs or the wireless adapter. I ordered one last night.
One of my friends with his m235 (not the one I was with yesterday runs jb4 on map2 with stage 2 pump on 92 oct. said he never had fuel cut out on him.
Which right now he did a stage 3 turbo upgrade and pump. But the car shuts down automatically now. He has port injection also. It's been at the shop for months for diagnosing.
On map one I wasn't having any fuel cut out issues.
I'll report back tomorrow evening with the dyno sheets so you guys can see.
I slapped on the BMS meth kit and map 2 boost levels are supported via stock LPFP and HPFP just fine. CM7 nozzle and a small E mix is enough to max out the stock turbo. 17.5-18.5 PSI. Map 7 is 18.5psi map with no safety. Without at least e50, which the HPFP couldn't handle anyways, I wouldn't run it. I had the same fuel cut when trying a small E mix on map2. The car needs meth, Pi or the s55 fuels pumps to max the stock turbo. I can't wait for a simple S55 plug and play.

I have a feeling this n55 with the s55 pumps and PS2 turbo will be more enjoyable vs the s55 CS. Similar numbers to an e85 s55 with stock turbos. 550whp area.

I haven't updated this, but I am waiting for ttfs to release the s55 hpfp so I can throw that in with another turbo. For now the car is just parked and I'm waiting on more info on the s55 hpfp.
My buddy just pulled the plug on it for his m235. I'm waiting to see his results, because I'm curious if the s55 hpfp needs any type of programming with the ecu or not.

Yes it does, and not easy by any means!

The manual work is the easy thing, but the programming part im not sure. I've been in contact with ttfs. That's who I'll be going with for a tun in the car also

Maybe stupid question but why am I not seeing the abrupt onset of overboost on these charts? Does tuning override this behaviour?

I'm assuming this is MHD for F series with straight OBDII flashing? No need to crack the DME anymore apparently

Maks I'm getting ready to do an exhaust and thinking about a catless dp at the same time. Did you have any issues with your setup before you went jb4 in terms of rough idling issues and stuttering after you rev and the car feels like it wants to die? Debating if I should do the catless paired with my hex tune later in year or just roll with the catless for half a year before my tune. I have a delete r setup currently with my Awron gauge that clears CELs so they won't be an issue.

To be honest I ran it for about a week with the catless dp without jb4. Or maybe two. And in that time I didn't notice any issues just the cel.
