PPF and Sealant

Could one put a sealant on the PPF or is this not required? I have a 3M install in the front hood, lights, and full front and applied sealant only to the paint. Was just curious if you could or should apply sealant to PPF? Thanks.

I was told the way it is done on a new delivery is the car is polished, then PPF applied then the coating to both paint and PPF.

That would be the best option, top of the list.

To answer the OP, you need to protect the PPF just like you would the paint to get the longevity out of it. That can be a wax, sealant or coating. The wax cannot contain naphtha (sp) and also one thing to think about here is that you will be re-applying the wax and possibly the sealant. The coating will not have to be re-applied as long as you maintain the coating correctly.

I would second what Bruce said, you want to protect the film like you would protect the paint.
