If the scratches don't catch your fingernail, then they'll easy buff out. Definitely go to a pro to get this corrected if you don't have the experience. Then throw the squeegee in the trash and buy a Harbor Freight DA polisher for $70, a better replacement backing plate for $20, quality polishing pads, microfiber towels, and polish ($100) and learn to polish the car safely. It's so easy with the right gear and basically impossible to screw up assuming the car is clean at the start

I could not read any of the other posts. Just skipped to the end to add.

I was cringing when I looked the photos.

I am sorry to read about this.

Use this link to help you find the best detailers in the world. They will all be certified as CQUARTZ installers and it's actually very hard to be certified as only 1 out of 200 applicants gets selected. If there are more than 1 shop around your area I would pick the one that is certified for CQUARTZ FINEST RESERVE due to the fact they are slightly more skilled and knowledgeable. Either way you will be in good hands like ALL STATE with anyone you find here.

As for future cleaning I recommend using ULTIMA WATERLESS WASH with a good quality microfiber towel.

"Absorber" towel wouldn't have help in this case.

The problem is the dirt was not floating above the surface, e.g. soap or water.
i use a waterblade as well. i make sure to wipe the blade with a paper tower after each panel area.

OMG, this is putting my OCD on full blast. I strongly suggest having a pro address these issues and please throw away that squeegee. A good rule of thumb is never dry a car that you have not freshly and thoroughly washed. There are great how to videos on youtube on the proper way to wash a car and not do damage. Also there is a good detail thread here that can help.

A good detailing shop will correct 99,5% of these scratches... The washing/drying technique has to be corrected tho
