Got a really nice surprise this morning!

So after the very long and excruciating wait, I got to pick up my M2 on Thursday this week. I drove it from southern CA where I picked it up, to the Bay Area where I live. I got home about 8pm, and my kids (two boys, aged 3 and 6) were waiting up for me, desperate to see daddy's new car.

That was sweet enough, but when I came home from work yesterday, my six year old told me that he'd done something in his "Writer's Workshop" section of his school day on Friday, and it was for me. This is what he gave me:

In this "Writer's Workshop", they're encouraged to write and draw something, without much concern for spelling. Just write as they sound out the word, hence the spelling mistakes.

After this, they stand in front of the class and present their work.

I love the roundel and the quad tail pipes attention to detail!

Really special - frame it, and keep it forever!

BTW, do they have a preview drawing of the new CS?

The drawing is very accurate: LBB, black exhaust tips, black wheels, shadowline window surrounds... Does it say "Dad is a rat" ?

I believe it says: 'Neilscr. Isgrat.' Which I translate to 'Neil's car is great.'

So nice hahaha.

My daughter is only 17 months now and I will probably have to get another car in the same line up to get a good artistic drawing from her after about 5 years???

Cant wait to get one but I really love the drawing.
You should frame it and put it somewhere with nice picture of your car beside.

Outstanding! At some point, you'll get a new car but you'll have that drawing forever.
