That's the trade off....an engine with great tuning capabilities hampered by an I-want-to-slit-my-wrists exhaust tone.

I wonder if the M2 CS will get the same or different interior treatment at the M4 CS? For example, I am not a fan of the cardboard door panels on the M4 CS...it will be interesting to see what direction BMW takes the M2 in CS form.

Maybe the F8X ZCP seats will make an appearance at some point - I am guessing they fit, right?

It seems to me that BMW is not planning to offer CCB in the M2 CS... either they will be the standard 380/370mm with 4/2-pistons calipers combo or 400mm front steel rotors with 6-piston calipers from the M5 and new design rear 390mm steel rotors with the 4-piston calipers of the F8x CCB.
If anything these must be much lighter rotors than in the M5 as the calipers are quite heavier than the standard 4-2-piston calipers. |

Actually, there are two different M2 cars in that video:
M2 with an N55-sounding engine: M2 with an S55-sounding engine + M3/M4 alike exhaust; seemed to struggle a bit in the wet, which may indicate that it was lapping on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (alike the M4 CS and M4 GTS): That begs the question: are we seeing here a stock M2 (N55 with maybe some more horses under the bonnet) versus an M2 CS (S55), or are we seeing here an M2 CS (N55 with some more horses under the bonnet) versus an M2 GTS (S55) ?

Actually you are seeing a B58 similar to the X3 M40i in the 2018 M2 and the CS.

S55 + 6MT will be perfect on the CS
I love the response and the power delivery of the S55 on the M4. Don't detune it (may be on paper) just leave it at M4 (non ZCP) level |
