Anyone doing the 1/2 mile Shift-S3ctor event in November? I ran at their event last year in my wife's X3MC. It is so much fun. Crazy cool, and fast cars there. This year we're taking the M2C and going to try to see if we can run close to my expectations? I'm curious if anyone is going ,to either spectate, or race at the Abilene, Tx. event this year?

This is kinda random, but I just received my newsletter from the Shift-S3ctor event coordinators, and their pics of featured cars for the Abilene event. It had my wife's X3MC on the feature page from our event last year. I thought it was pretty cool to see her car on the main page, especially knowing how many crazy cool cars are there at each event. I said to her jokingly, your car is now internet famous. HaHa!

My M2 is not close to being ready yet but once it is will hit one of these occasionally. Maybe some of the mile stuff too. How did the X3M do last year? What are you expecting out of the M2?

I’ll definitely look forward to seeing your car in action. The X3 ran 151-152mph all day at that event. I did a custom tune in it, and it went almost 159… was hoping to break 160mph but I got the M2 and decided to mess with it instead. Man, I’m really hoping to break 155mph in the M2, but we’ll see.

160 from a standing start sounds pretty damn good! Will be interesting to see what you get out of the M2 - definitely report back. And once you have it sorted come join us at COTA - they are an absolute joy there.

Yeah, that same X3 ran 10.65 @ 131mph in the 1/4 too. It’s very fast! I hope to have my M2 back late next week, and I’ll go do some testing on it. Back when I had my Mclaren’s, I used to get invited to COTA for their track days.. I never went. Someday I may try my hand at road racing, as I haven’t ever been on any road course.
