EDC retrofit?
Since the CS has EDC dampers, is there a way to retrofit the control to an M2C? It seems like it should be doable. I've seen the DSC Sport and Tractive systems, but I mean the OEM setup. Searched on the F80 forum and came up mostly empty.

I am looking into doing this as well, since I have a totaled CS handy. Havent had a chance to tear it apart yet.

Cool. I could be wrong but I was thinking it's basically retrofitting the springs and dampers, running the wires from the accelerometers to wherever they plug in, and the hard part would be coding and making it happy. Surprised no one else has looked into it.

The springs are indeed the same. It is surprising to me that just a shock change can make such a difference but the CS does ride much better than the comp so it would seem like an easy and worthwhile upgrade.

The CS apparently has the same front sway bar as the M3 and M4 Coupe based on the part numbers?
The sway bar on the CS Racing is - as Farkle's video points out - much, much stiffer. Last edited by M Fifty; 07-15-2022 at 04:21 PM.. |
