Looking forward to this video that's coming.
Hopefully this will have a few things that the 1M didn't so it pleases more people, namely: CF roof, DCT option and Blue color choices. I'd expect it to have all of those since it will be more mainstream and not have a small test window.

Great, now I'm now torn. I love the 4-door functionality of the M3, but you just know this is going to be one SICK gem of a car.

looks VERY cool. i think the M2 is going to be a VERY exciting car.....
it's in the running for my next car after my lease is up. but the F80 M3 is really a compelling package for me at the moment.... |

I seriously think the new M2 will become the new M3 of today since the M4/M3 are just to big for a lot of people.
I was almost set on getting an M4/M3 but I will wait for the M2. I want a small car to be able to enjoy and toss around on the weekends. I hope they keep the M2 simple. No radar cruise, blind spot BS, etc. Keep this car pure and leave the other luxuries for the M4 and M5 cars.

Not bad at all.
Although admittedly a bit biased I still dig the 1 M type proto sights and sounds more when at a comparable stage of development. But there's definite promise here if they can manage to keep the weight at or near the 1 M level.

What's with the front fender/door mating area? Looks like the 235iR stick on fenders again. I hope they can blend that nicely somehow. The wheels just look too big for this car it needs to be running 18s.

The 1M prototype looks a little wimpy in comparison to the new M2 prototype. The final design of the 1M was great but I feel the M2 design will be better.I'm just happy that I finally have a BMW that I want just as much as I wanted my E46 M3.
