It seems most dealers don't have production numbers that far out, so I'd take it with a grain of salt. If he can get you the production number though, make sure he associates it with your name on the order, that way you can track it via the website. |

Yes, make sure that is an actual production number and has a build week associated with it. If that is the case, and nov delivery works for you, I would jump on it.

I'm sort of in the same boat here - I've been told my car is in production - but I've asked like 4 times since last Friday where my production / build # is, and nothing. So, the only thing I can say, is maybe the order has progressed but that's it.

Ok soni officially put a deposit in and was told late summer. As far as obtaining a production number he said it would take a couple of weeks but he did assure me late summer maybe earlier.

Unless they had a configurable allocation in their system, you are just on a list. Hopefully no one is ahead of you.

Without an actual allocation, you have no prod number and you are still sitting there waiting wondering when you will actually get one.

I'm fully aware as it was explained above. What stated was an allocation was going to be given but the production number wouldn't for another couple of weeks

Do they already have an allocation to sell you, or are they selling something that then don't have yet? An allocation can be converted into a production number within a day or two. It sounds like some dealers are selling more cars than they are going to get this year. They can take 20 orders and try to fill as many as they can. |

Yeah. I think mine was the next day after the dealer got an allocation to work with. Then the misery of waiting began.....

I read this as. I expect the dealership to get an M2 allocation next go around or at the latest the next go around, which would be at the latest a November delivery. If they get an allocation next go around it will be a September delivery.
