OP after I saw a stripped down black one at SF BMW that they wanted $10k over sticker for I decided to look elsewhere. Found a mg one in Palm springs at MSRP. Got 2k off when I financed with usaa since the dealer would not budge off MSRP. Flew down and drove it home. Totally worth it

Paid £43k so £8.5k off list price with delivery mileage (8 miles on it when I test drove)

id say go with m4 lot faster more comfortable and after e92 that m2 interior is just cheap feeling.

The car was in stock and they had been sitting on it since December. Dealer fees were minimal, under $200.

I was also dealing on two similar M2s in stock in Chicago; one was about $700 over invoice, and the other one was offered to me for 1k over invoice (I hadn't tried negotiating it down further yet). Dealer fees for these were also in that $200 range.

You can only get the real cost when you consider freight/PDI, “extras” like etched glass, wheels locks, and admin. And don’t include a trade in!

Dealers play all kinds of games! They can tell you you’re getting $4000 off the new car but markup their admin fee, add extras, and give you less for your trade.
