Don Carlos
Apparently my M2 is having a lovely winter cruise on the Don Carlos. It was supposed to hit Port Hueneme on Jan 3rd however vessel tracking now shows it going the LONG way from Panama and new dat Jan 10th.
Anybody else have a car on that boat? Sure curious about the change in route / schedule. http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/...sel:DON_CARLOS

Mine is on the Don Carlos as well. I've been tracking it pretty much daily since it left the port, it farted around in the UK for a few days then I think it got delayed again in Baltimore since it arrived right before Christmas, then delayed a couple days again when it landed a few days ago on new years eve in the Panama port.
So I think it's just a case of unfortunate timing and delays due to the holidays. I'm just as antsy as you are, haha. Hopefully it won't get delayed anymore, when I called BMW Genius they said once the car lands at the port of arrival, it takes an average of 10 days to get delivered, so that seems like it puts us later into the third week of January. |

Yep, I’m ok with the delay. More time to clean out the garage and the weather up here isn’t that great.
I was really surprised when I clicked on expected / projected track and it showed the ship going around the Horn of Africa rather than through the Canal and up the coast of Mexico.

Well disregard that last. Must have been a glitch in the tracking web site. Projected track now shows a normal route up the western coast of Mexico.

My car is also on the Don Carlos. From what I know the initial ETA was 1/5, but as you guys said now it's 1/10. I'm ok with that since I'll be Out of country and back on the 18th, perfectly in time to receive the car. Can't wait!
