Quick google search. Looks like EPA listing it as certified.

Just talked to my dealer today and they said BMW will be holding my car at the port in a timely fashion that would allow it to be at the dealer no earlier than April 16th.

Got an e-mail yesterday from dealer, it said....
"Just wanted to let you know, we heard from BMW and the Launch date is set for April 16, and they will be out of the port, early April."

First time poster, #6 in line at a Bay Area dealer (LBB MT). My CA told me today they're expecting to get their initial allocation info first week of April.
Question - Will allocations will stay consistent month to month? I.e. if the dealer gets 1 build slot in April, reasonable to think they'll have one per month (at least) going forward? |

Keep in mind my above post is a generalization, as dealers getting 18 allocations are (very) few and far between for now. Fingers crossed BMW gets this slow process sped up so I can have some buddies for the track |

Thanks for the feedback, mine said they typically get about 4 M3 slots per month, here's hoping they get a decent allocation of M2s for 2016. Curious that they wouldn't tell me about an allocation for the whole year, just stuck to the party line that they get their slots on a monthly basis...

As I've mentioned previously, mine has five guaranteed allocations but sounded pretty sure that once the car was released, they could easily get more per month. Who knows.

Few of my friends are driving 8 hours to Watkins Glen on April 17th...just absolutely brutal, if I could take delivery even on the 15th that would be doable for me. But on the 16th it probably wouldn't work. BMW can release the car whenever they want to, but not telling customers when the car will be available is absolutely unacceptable. I realize they have posted it in some marketing literature, but for actual dealers and their own BMW Genius hotline to have zero idea and be unable to confirm April 16th is really pathetic. |
