Sounds like the Genius will no longer provide vehicle build status. Is there another way to determine which ship we're on?
Mine is now "In transit" and I was hoping to track to a relative ETA. |

-Status 193 to 195 (on a ship): 3-5 days for east coast delivery, 5-12 days for west coast delivery (more detail on this later)
-Shipping time from Bremerhaven to East Coast: 12-17 days depending on the number of stops. Can some one clarify the above contradiction.. My cars status changed to 195 today. How long should I estimate the boat to deliver the car to NJ Port of Entry? TIA, HAZMAT

You can check what boat your car is on by calling bmw customer relations. Usually a couple days after the car was actually boarded will they be able to tell you. My car is on the Faust eta June 6th port of NJ/NY. My build week was 19. https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?min...er%3DCA920-FAT |

Hi everyone. I searched the forums for this information and couldn't find it, but if it is already known then I apologize.
I just handed my M2C over to BLG for shipping (back to Canada) and noticed something on the document they gave me. There's a "shipment tracking" portal they provide, and it works with the contract number and your VIN. https://jcars.blg.de/wps/portal/extern/exportinfo I'm still in the process myself, so I'm not sure exactly what will end up in this system, but its looking promising so far. Let me know if any of you guys have seen this before, and whether it produces anything meaningful other than the vessel name and departure date. |

Not sure what I am doing wrong. I am referencing the excellent post by BMWGUY11 https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1181156. In that post, he carefully outlines each of the steps to track production status and following your car's progress.
The only thing I have been able to do is track the production status on the official BMW site, and it currently says that the carrier has been assigned. No where in the tracking was I able to see any of the production status codes except the first one which I got from my SA. Even though codes were informative in his explanation, I have not been able to find them anywhere. What I am I missing? |

I just called the BMW special delivery number, where, as usual, Raven was able to save the day👍🏻👍🏻 (1-800 932-0831) Somewhat disappointed to learn that my vehicle is actually leaving tomorrow! I dropped it off in Munich on June 7th...Didn't expect it to take more than a month to board a ship😥😥😥 Oh well, it'll be here by July 26th. In my hands soon after👍🏻😁😁 Can not wait !!!! |

It's been this way forever. The new website is much better, showing more steps (16) compared to the old site (6 or 7). |

yeah and once it gets to port, it can sit there for "1-3 weeks" before you can get anyone to tell you anything (ship name). and by then the ship will have left but once you get the ship name you can get the ETA and track it online HERE
keep in mind though that unless you register for "free trial" (credit card needed) you won't be able to track it in the open ocean, so will have to wait til it gets close to the coast to get updates after a certain point west of ireland.

Those of you with west coast-bound cars, here are webcam links to the cocoli and aguaclara locks of the Panama Canal, which were created during the expansion that ended back in '16.

In fact I just noticed their newer website, which has a "LIVE CAMS" menu option now giving access to 5 separate web cams.

Anyone tracking a car? My CS went from at the port to in transit. Do I ask my CA for the boat name?

The OP's instructions are spot on, the instructions worked well and I was able to track the boat via marinetraffic's website. |
