Each to their own but having had my 2nd driftday yesterday with my M2 I only can say Jethro hits the nail on the head. I know it's a repost but it also shows 'fun' and 'feel' , 'balance' and 'playability' are rather important in a sporty car. I think it makes a sporty car. Anytime M2 for me it's fantastic as a throw around high speed drift car .

They also had to boost power to the engine to compensate. |

Then you trade it in for an M2. Drift happy. Cheers Robin DISCLAIMER: A drift happy car is just the car, the driver is always responsible for his/her own actions. |

The easiest way to make it drift happy would be to add snow. |

No matter what you do it will never do powerslides or power on oversteer. The power split it at most 50/50 between front and rear, this is when the the haldex diff is completely locked, and due to mass transfer the fronts will always run wide before the tail sticks out.

Very interesting that M2 can keep up with TT on track. Would have been interesting to see a M2 with DCT and M Performance Suspension.

The only thing that can improve the driving dynamics would be a locking rear diff. But it's very unlikely that someone will ever produce such a diff (did a bit of research since I switched to the M2 from a pending Golf R order and I contacted Wavetrak, Qualife regarding the rear LSD) |

DCT M2 would've beaten the TT time, with or without the coilovers.

Isn't there a part 4 where he discusses the all-important fun-to-drive factor of the cars?

I do wish they'd tell us what spec the Cayman has, especially what chassis/diff options are fitted. Nobody ever seems to drive a non-S without torque vectoring/PASM etc. |

So I am in the market for a used 2018 TTRS. In my country, a used 2018+ M2 Competition is about the same price.
What is going to be faster in a straghtline from a Stage 2/3 TTRS on pump98 or e85 fuel, vs a stage 2/3 M2 Competition on the same fuel? From my initial research, it seems the TTRS is faster especially when tuned. But I do like the front end of the M2 better. Opinions? |

After owning a stage 2 tuned TTRS with a built engine which was mind bendingly quick I'd rather have a slower M2 than the quicker TTRS. It's not that great to drive outside of the straight line acceleration which gets old quickly. The front end of the M2 is mostly devoid of feel but the TTRS is even worse in that regard.

It was not even close to the level of some of the TTRS out there, though it did have an Iroz Motorsport built engine. About 500 crank. I ended up finding a lot of fault with the handling and I parked it a few months after getting it built and it sat outside from the moment my 911 came home to the time when I sold it. I did not bother getting the 1/4 time from it as I took it off the road soon after build, realizing its not the car for me.
