It would be incredibly stupid and without precedent if the M2 couldn't fit 275 tires up front. Everyone and their brother knows 275 square is a classic track setup for BMW M cars and I will be seriously pissed if that's not the case here. I don't think BMW would make a trackable M car with less clearance than the e46, e92, and F30. Hell, my lowered X1 could run 275 up front.

I have always loved the BMW Competition Package Style 359 https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...els/ES2581112/
Lurking here until I see someone get them. Or I may just pull the trigger on them. |

Like I said early, if that becomes a problem, I'd really have no problems with just sticking to the OEM's. They suit the M2 and are really good rims.

It'll be interesting to see where this goes RE: the FI-R. They are not the most aggressive wheels for the F8x so maybe they will squeeze under. But if you have to stretch the tire to make it work is it even worth it?

I am going to try 275 front 295 rear so they will not be stretched. That's if they fit, of course haha. I am guessing I might have to drop down to 265 front but I am pretty sure I can get that to work.

So you think adding 12mm of wheel and 30mm of tire is going to fit? This will be an interesting test...

Adding 12mm of wheel and 30mm of tire fit just fine on the M3. Adding even more than that worked just fine on my X1 that was lowered to less than coupe level. Went from 225 on 8in in the front to 275 on 9.5in. Only thing that is different about the M2 is the fender, and nobody has measured it yet. I will pull them if I have to, not a big deal. I got such a good deal on the wheels I can always sell them for break even if they don't fit and use the money for something else.

There is A LOT less room on the M2, still might fit but will be very tight if it will. |

Because it is the exact same wheels and suspension, so it has a lot to do. You are correct - the only issue will be if there is outside fender clearance, but as I said - that is correctable. Adding camber will help a ton too.

Not my wallet this time but when I got my 1M I bought apex wheels and tires in e9x fitment and they Bolt straight up. I had the wheels for about 90 days before my carr and as it turned out the 1m fits bigger wheels and tires probably than the e9x actually. Agree with you - No way the same suspension setup is on both cars and the same wheel and tire combo doesn't fit both. |

Spot on. Not to mention the M2 sure looks like it's sitting lower than the M3/4 as is too

Measurements I find for the M2 say it's 73" even. BMWs.com lists it at 72.9", everyone else says 73" even.
So 1/2" is not a lot in terms of wheel width when divided by two wheels. That's about 6mm per side, which would hardly even be noticeable.

Either way it will be interesting to see if they fit with 295s as thats a close configuration on an M4 and MM count. |
