M2 c/w MP coilovers - yesterday added OEM front -30min camber correction hubs.

Went from front camber / toe of -1.5 camber and toe-in -0deg 6' to -2 deg & toe in -0deg 2' & 3'

Drove the car on A & B roads x country on a mix of dry/damp roads. The car feels better all round probably due to KDS tweaks since alignment from MP coilover install mid Feb. Extra camber is visually noticeable - maybe hard to see in the attached photos but by comparison rear camber is at circa -1.75deg

NSF

OSF

My Initial impressions -

- Turn in definitely feels sharper on the few dry curves I tried.
- Front end grip was already great to start with and now understeer threshold seems a fair bit higher.
- Main gain - given the cr@p conditions - was higher grip & feedback levels on moist corners is most noticeable change.

In summary - I'm happy and creates more room for wider tyres in the future - 265/295 perhaps ??

Next on the to-do list

- swap out to 18" 513m wheels c/w 245/265 MPSS tyres
- get the corner balanced and on a damper dyno to fettle MP coils B&R settings .

Sorry - where did you acquire these: "OEM front -30min camber correction hubs"

-2* sounds about right...I was going to go camber plates with the MPS but if you can get -2* with mostly stock parts, I think I'll avoid the headaches of NVR with camber plates

Yup - oem solution ain't cheap but it got me -2 upfront with warranty friendly upgrades for DD, dads taxi and occasional TD tool.

I bought from BMW parts dept

Part nos 31217853639 & 40 for the L & R hubs

In addition, I chose to buy new bolts etc for both sides

8 x m12 hub bearing bolts 31206872920
2 x m10 bolts, washers and nuts 07119905418 & 33326768884
2 x m6 isa screw 07129904588
4 x m12 torx cw washer 34106864424

Don't be afraid of camber plates....my GC units on top of MP coilovers are great...perfect fit, no noise, holds -3.2 regardless of how many curbs I hit on track !

Have lived with camber plates on my E46 for many years...its only a matter of time before they make noise (things just wear out)

LOL $500+/side...no thanks

Update

Driven more miles on drier roads and have to say the feel/turn-in/grip levels were already good but -2deg from these camber correction front hubs have made a noticeable improvement.

Not cheap - compared to non-oem alternatives - but being OEM and fit and forget was worth the extra $$$ IMHO.

Roll on the next trackday !!!

Parts were about 50% more than high end camber plates.

Probably less labour time to install though.

Bee Pee, did you reuse the bearings? I am thinking I'll order new bearings with the hubs when I do this. It should make the swap a lot easier too.

Thanks. Looks like this is the bearing part number. Haven't looked at the price yet, but leaning towards doing new bearings with the hub.

I'm glad I didn't replace mine as they were subsequently replaced under warranty, awhile after I installed the hub carriers/uprights 😬

Ordered the parts for this camber correcting hub. I decided to get new wheel bearings as well and that increased the overall price for the job. Bee Pee reused his wheel bearings and since these cars are quite new, I don't see what that would not work. But, I simply wanted to not take a risk since I plan to DIY this at home. Below is the full parts list. I'll keep this thread updated when stuff comes in.

(Part Number) (Part Name) (Price)
(31-21-7-853-639) (Knuckle-Left) ($357.88)
(31-21-7-853-640) (Knuckle-Right) ($357.88)
(31-20-7-857-506) (Wheel Bearing And Hub Assembly) (2 x $274.97)
(31-20-6-872-920) (Hub Assembly Mount Bolt) (8 x $5.04)
(07-11-9-905-418) (Hex Bolt with Washer - M10X80-U1-10.9) (2 x $3.32)
(33-32-6-768-884) (Hexagon Nut with Collar - M10-10 ZNS3) (2 x $1.45)
(07-12-9-904-588) (Mount Bracket Screw) (2 x $1.62)
(34-10-6-864-424) (Carrier Bolt) (4 x $5.24)

What suspension are you going to be using with the camber correction knuckles?

Stock, MP or other?
