Easy-peasy: just use a black sharpie that doesn't leave stains on your clothes. A guy used an orange sharpie to color all the white stitching of his BMW Performance Seats of his 1M. Matched well with the Kyalami Orange upholstery stitching. Looked legit. And no, I ain't kidding.
I believe it. Thanks for the idea.

I did something like that on white sticking years ago to hide a logo.

Wow are they really offering a Moonroof in the US now? I know it was offered in Canada and other markets prior, but never in the US. That's a game changer!

My ED is supposed to be 10/2, 4 or 6 but I just got moved to week 38 from 36. A bit afraid, but the only options I have are LBB, CarPlay and the moonroof. Fingers crossed!

You should be ok - wk 38 is Sep 18 - 22. That should leave them plenty of time to get your car to the Welt. You'll know for sure when they confirm your pickup date.

In 2015 when I did ED, my car completed production on Aug 20, and I picked it up at the Welt on Sept 3.

Let me know if you're on the 4th. Morning delivery is what I asked for.

If not, and you feel these things are important, you're probably not the target customer for the M2. Maybe an M4 would be more aligned with your tastes.

Don't get me wrong, my current car has (optional) front PDC, (optional) ivory leather seats and (optional) black alcantara headlining. I bought that as a family car and then ended up buying an 8 seat SUV for my wife. Now I can get something fun that also has back seats to put kids in for the occasional school run, and for that, the M2 is perfect... I hope.
I had a 135i and absolutely loved it and am looking at the 240i so I feel that I am absolutely a "target" for the M2. Unfortunately they decided that if I feel that something like front PDC on a car with a low front bumper or something other than black interior is important they'd prefer me to spend less and buy a 240i? Give me a break, that's just a lazy thing for them to do.

It's less well equipped than a 228i can be. No reason for that to be possible. I understand things like only one wheel option or no moon roof, but you don't see the M3 available with poorer options than the 328i.

I want to see you defend to me the lack of front PDC. Please.

I'm more concerned with how my car drives rather than how it parks. Stick w/ the 328.

My SA also reported that the free adaptive LEDs were for "a few early builds" after checking with the higher ups. Not sure where, if anywhere, this is headed.

Just read a post on 2ertalk.de that said the German price list is getting updated in November. The M seat belts will be available as an option starting in November and will cost $300 Euros.

This is the updated price list.

I suspect that BMW doesn't really want to sell a bunch of M2s. The fact that it's a car that has received excellent reviews from people around the world is what's important for them. Now, with limited availability (via small numbers of cars, on allocation), limited colors and options, and somewhat downscale finishes, it looks more like BMW is using the M2 as 'bait', to drive sales for other models.

1) Need more interior space? M4
2) Need more back seat space and accessibility? M3
3) Need more upscale finishes inside? M3/M4/M5
4) Need more options, but the same price range? M240i
5) Need to lease rather than purchase? The entire BMW range except M2!
5) Can't wait many months for an allocation? The entire BMW range except M2!

And I think it has worked. I've seen many comments, on Bimmerpost and other forums, where prospective M2 purchasers have changed their decision, due to one of the above factors (or others not included) and ended up with an M3/M4, M240i, etc.
