I used vGate WiFi adapter and an "older" iPad (Air Gen 1). I held the iPad down under the steering wheel less than 20 centimeters from the OBDII port. I also went to a parking lot near my office, where the iPad would not "know" any of the open networks, thus would not try to connect to any of them vs. say in my garage where it could try to pick up my home network.
Was fast and I coded something in most modules. I can confirm that FEM definitely took the longest, but it was nowhere near 5 minutes as Neil experienced. Maybe 30-45 seconds to a minute max. Rest of the modules were super quick, I was actually surprised at the speed and wondered if it was actually working. |

You can also turn off other items too. I turned off the date, instantaneous fuel mileage, etc so that I don't need to press the button 6 times to change from oil/water temp to speed |

Does this force the flap open constantly, or do you have to launch the app and open the flap each tome you start the car?

You can just unplug the flap when the car is cold and it is open, wrap it in electrical tape and stow it away behind the black inner cover it is attached too

I'd like to have it off most of the time, but on every now and again. Currently I have ti coded off, and it's not that difficult to code on again, but BimmerLink looks like it would be far quicker and easier, particularly since I use E-Sys rather than BimmerCode usually.

Does anyone else have a front/side camera (non existent) error after coding with bimmercode? it goes away straight away, but upon inspection with bimmerlink, the code is stored there so thats gotta be a red flag for the dealer..

Yes, I get that error message every time when I code the FEM. Damn, I didn't know it can store error code...

I was guessing its due to one of the preselected codes on bimmercode, just not sure which one it is
