IPhone contacts for navigation

My iPhone 7 contacts are not showing up under contacts in the navigation menu. They worked fine on my 2014 M235i.

Has something changed?

Do other people get their contact addresses to show up?

I cannot believe no one has replied to this post. There must be a way to get Nav to read your iPhone contact list like my old M235i did.

Try re pairing your phone. You should see something on the screen like "sync contacts and favorites ". Click yes. Try that and making sure your firmware is up to date. You can get that update free from the BMW website.

That or stop by your dealership. We do it all the time for customers. Not the firmware update necessarily but we will get the phone set up.

Hope this helps.

I don't think it does that anymore. I believe if you list like a home address of a contact it may show up then. The 14 has the NBT navigation where yours would have the EVO system. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Just got back from my dealer. Spent some time with a BMW genius. If you have CarPlay you have to bring the contact up there. Then sent the address to Apple maps. Apple maps will let you pass the address off to navigation.

Wow. The M235i was much easier.

Or you could just turn off Carplay, it works just fine on my 2018.

Oh jeese I wish I saw this earlier. I could've saved you a dealership visit. I'm a genius down in Florida. lol
More of a reason as to why I hate carplay.
