Mods for this car??
I got an APW 2018 M2 last week that had 3400 miles - had the 1200 mile service done. No mods done by previous owner.
Will post pics soon. Today was the 1st time I really got on it - I mean...this F'n car flys. Never did WOT - was semi close and...I have had *many* cars in the past - 4 M's previously - last one an e39 M5 - wouldn't touch this one. Dunno how fast y'all want to go but hot damn...it's fast. |

Yeah... it can move!
Not only that, but the power band is very linear... I previously owned (years ago) a Lotus Esprit... and that car could move, but... you really had to get the RPM's up to around 4,000 before it would take off like a rocket! If you were at a stop light, and someone pulled up to you and began revving their engine, and the light changed and you floored it, before having time or thinking about revving the engine up, the car would pull away painfully slow, and continue to crawl until you hit that 4-4,500 rpm... THEN it would blast off, but by then the other car was long gone! Not so with the M2! This car has power from low revs to 7k! It's also a blast to drive, even going 30-45mph! And the handling! Richard Gere, in the movie Pretty Woman, said that the Lotus "drove like it was on rails"...this car really reminds me of my '89 Lotus in that area! Enjoy it! |

Glad you like your purchase. There are a lot of happy M2 owners here.
I haven't touched the power train, but I have lots of M Performance goodies on my M2. The biggest hoot is by far the M Performance exhaust. You should also look at the threads on ASD. I have ASD turned off with the ASD bypass harness. Others have it coded out. |
