The wet application is hit and miss. There were a few areas where it dried prior to being rinsed properly. It left a haze on the car. A good cleaner wax removed the residue. That tells me this is not a very robust "coating". I'll just stick with conventional waxing. It's worked well so far.

For anyone that’s used this, does it result in that just-waxed smoothness that lasts for months?
That’s my favorite part of a just waxed car, but only lasts a week or 2. I’m not at all familiar with coatings like this so I’m curious.

@DetailersDomain
Now that this has been out for a little while any additional feedback from your own use or from customers? How would you gauge the level of continued/repeat customer interest? Assuming I go this route, I will be applying on a ceramic coated M2 and also using on an uncoated Tacoma. |

I just ordered this and a few other goodies from DD. They'll be here next week.
I figure wash > clay > H-recharge > wax. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

"We no longer recommend using the wet or foam cannon methods to apply Recharge! Applying HydroSilex Recharge using the wet method and the foam cannon method can be tricky and we therefore DO NOT recommend using these methods anymore. Below is the only way Recharge should be installed to achieve the best results possible. how to DIY. . . Dry Surface Application" This past weekend I applied Hydrosylex Recharge on top of ~1 month old Kamikaze Miyabi. I figure I will do this about every 4 washes (month) or so to try and extend the life of the ceramic coating. Dry application was simple and very quick on my already slick M2. I used a finger or so out of the 500ml bottle so I expect I will get 8 (+/-) applications out of a bottle. Looks great and feels very slick and I like it so far but I don't have experience with other products at this point. |

Mine showed up on Wednesday. I'm hoping to try it out today if my conference calls die down.
For those who have used this, what's the advantage of doing the glass? Any tips? I'm doing the dry application as it seems to make more sense (I decided this even before the application update above directing toward dry). Thanks.

the dry application is what I would recommend. You can use it on glass but make sure you get all of it off as it can streak a bit.
It's straight forward spray on buff off, make sure to get it all off and not do this in extreme heat or in direct sunlight. |

This turned out really well. It was very easy to apply. Much easier than even spray wax. I was on the fence about doing the wheels, but glad I did. They look really nice. I only used like an inch of the bottle.
Here’s a pic. I’ll see it in full sun tomorrow. Time will tell how it holds up. It does give the surface a nice smooth feel. All in all, worth the effort for sure. There’s a cars and coffee in Jacksonville tomorrow. I think I may swing through now that I’m all shiny. I went to the hydrosilex website. It apparently works great on granite countertops, too. I may try that. Maybe the cat can use a coat too. Possibilities are endless. Would anyone suggest wax over this stuff?

BTW, I ordered from you guys, the recharge and a few other things. As an ex-NJ guy, I'm happy to give you guys some business. I'm sure I'll order more..... BTW, I used this on my tailpipes and have noticed that the black soot stuff doesn't accumulate NEARLY as fast, and I haven't been driving with a light pedal.

@McGary911 Did you use on your glass as well?
If so, how did it turn out? Have you driven in the rain since and how do the wipers behave? Thanks! |

I may try the hydrosilex on the glass at some point, now that I’ve seen how easy it applies. If I do I’ll post the outcome here.

I wasted most of the bottle on wet application, however last time I finally tried dry. It works much better I think! But now I'm almost out.
