Just an update.
The shop checked the toe and corrected their mistake yesterday. As a result: - the lap times were good again today - the car felt balanced again, no oversteer as I experienced last time when the toe was not right I also kept the pressure 2.2 BAR as per advise above and it looks like in combination with better negative camber due to camber plates the front tires are showing even wear. |

Get more camber :-) And get a printout next time. I'm surprised what a sloppy shop not knowing what they are doing. Toe is a fine tune thing even more than the camber setting. IMO. For track use, camber is like "crank it up" until you get a trackday car that is tramlining undriveable (and wears out the tires) on the street at 4+ degrees in the front :-D Toe is fine tuning the cars reactions to suit your driving style and preferences. Both front and rear. A bit out in the front? Or just so slightly in? Minimize toe in at the rear to get a more rotateable (and a bit more nervous) car? And so on. I had my alignment redone as the steering wheel was not straight after the 1st time. I swapped from my track wheels and tires to the road wheels and tires (OEM 788s). The 1st time my front camber was wrong and out of spec (on a stock car with no camber plates), 2nd time front camber was in spec! I put it down to the fat some what bulging track tires vs the stretched oem tires. I think the track tire pushed on the reflectors or didnt let them sit right leading to the error. They sat well enough on the OEM wheels that the scratched them

Anyone running camber plates on their M-performance coilovers? Trying to find out the max camber allowance with the bigger progressive springs. Don't care to add them if I can't get close to 3 degrees.

I just got millway street on my mperf coilovers installed. There's no noises from it, but it does pass on a lot of tire resonance to the cabin at highway speed. I'm using a new set of oem paper gaskets on it.
My shop advised me I shouldn't run -3 up front for tire reasons, this is a daily car. I've got -2.4 front and -2 rear, stock toe settings. |

It's quite literally a piece of paper that sits between the front upper shock mount and the body of the car. Item 4 in the diagram at the link below.

I imagine the only reason it is there is to prevent paint sticking to the shock mount if/when it is removed for servicing or possibly to prevent galvanic corrosion between the dissimilar metals. |

I've had my Millway Street plates in for 50K km (with Ohlins R&T) and no noise still, do a lot of spirited country/mountain driving & around 24 track days in that (I change camber between -2 street & -3 track). Have the F80/M2C tops as I've fitted the F80 strut bracing on my LCI.
