can you retro fit the ash tray

mistake on my side when ordering the car, but using the car all the time the tray just annoys me so i would like to fit the ash tray if possible. Its just a useful place to keep change without anything on show.

so question is has anyone done this before and if so any guidence/advice.

? The spot where an ash tray would go already has a covered compartment. Not great for change as it is smooth plastic without any divider, so change slides around and makes noise.

I put a small cleaning cloth in that 'ash tray' compartment (the one that's included when you buy a pair of sunglasses) and neither sliding nor noises. That cleaning cloth is also useful to sometimes remove dust from the SATNAV screen and finger prints from other parts of the dashboard (that glossy piano black surround panel is prone to dirt).

too bad that compartment is so shallow.... the cloth probably takes up 20 percent of the space.

Aha I see. Those cylindrical holes are supposed to be cupholders?

You can fit it afterwards and order the parts separately….I also made the same mistake and did not order it…but thankfully I was able to change my order an ad this option to my final build (thanks to member Artemis for pointing this option out to me).
