I'm clear. Dealers have had the list since last weekend, I was ok'd first thing Monday morning.

They posted a list of impacted VIN's in the main thread on this. Looks like only 16 M2's impacted based on what looks to be M2 VIN's.

Here's the list...the cars with a V are M2's I believe. Not many.

interesting thing is that my VIN isn't on that list. But my dealer is telling me that he's got a different smaller list that does list my car as affected.

I've asked them to reconfirm with head office

This could be related to the other recall about some loose bolts in the undercarriage.

MY16, no sunroof option. Wouldn't have gotten it anyway, don't like the look.

As requested, all the pics I got from my GM, who I'm pretty sure is almost more excited about the car then I am, he asked me for a ride when I go pick it up.

EDIT: last photo is sideways and can't fix it...anyone have a solution?

FYI to all - my car completed production June 16th and my VIN is past any of those numbers. I am in the clear, so I think it is safe to assume any M2 built on or after June 16th is in the clear as well.

Technically tomorrow, but I am travelling for work, so pending any travel delays, I will get my hands on it late Friday afternoon.

No 5.0 for me as I have a MY16 car. Will keep everyone updated on whether a software only version gets deployed, I have my guys looking into it.

Perhaps, but I'm seeing lots of postings in the BMW General News section, about other M cars not being on the list, but the owners are advised that they are affected and delayed.

It seems like no one, from the dealer to regional BMW head offices, really knows WTF is going on. So par for the course for this whole buying process
