Who is driving with Pagid RS-29 on their M2
I have Pagid RS-29 on my Z4M with AP racing brakes....on my Z4M they don't make a lot of noise and I also use the RS-29 on the street. For trackdays with my M2 I used Endless ME-20 and they are noisy as hell...for my next set I also wanted to use Pagid RS-29 on the M2... How noisy are they on the OEM M2 callipers?

A lot of people use the RS29 and like them. I am in a minority that do not like them at all.
The brake feeel isn’t that great, and I destroyed a set in one weekend, as they couldn’t handle intense braking/heat. Switched to PFC 11s, much better. Both pads are extremely loud. I do not run them on the street. |

They squeal like crazy and also clunk and rattle quite a bit too, I really wouldn't recommend for daily driving. And they're probably a bit aggressive when cold too so they'd wear the rotors faster.
But I am happy with them for track use. |

Maybe it takes a while for the ME-20's to scrub off the existing pad material from the Rotors?? I have RS-29's. They don't sound like that. I'm still on my first set of Pagids but plan on using PFC next. I liked them on my more track prepared cars in the past. |

I had them on my M2 with stock rotors. Squeals a lot and doesn't come with the back plate.
I liked them, ran them on the track and they were way better than the stock pads for sure. Now using RE10 on Brembo GT kit, squeals a lot too... but you know they say race pads squeal and that's just the nature of it. |

The RS29 crumbled apart from the abuse. The PFCs hold up very well, but I致e subsequently torched my calipers, so I installed an AP BBK a few weeks back. |

I used RS29 on the M3 since I got it. Switch to them in April/May for first track event, then switch back to stock in November after the last VIR event.
They work better on the street if you brake hard, which sometimes is hard to do I know. But if they are bedded in properly they squeal less and grip more. Takes a few weeks or a month to fully clean the disc, by which time I知 back on track and they again deposit material on the disc. For reference, I run (Edit: I wish I would run 2:08, that was a typo) 2:10 at VIR and 2:12 at Watkins Glen, respectable times. Fronts last about 2 weekends, rears about double that. But I think I知 ready for something different this season. I値l try first PFC08 and then Endless ME20.

RS29s
I run RS29s on OEM rotors on the track only. Overall, great performance and can稚 complain at all. Super easy to change out from road to track. So far as track use no complaints at all. Then again, I知 not running high speed laps at the 然ing.
Can稚 imagine running on the streets of Houston, TX as they squeal like a pig on descending braking. I don稚 give two $hits about any noise out on the track. Actually, more noise, the better! Thank you for sharing vids and knowledge here. Appreciate your advice! |

I use RS29s on the Z4MC with StopTech ST40 calipers and on the TT RS with the factory Brembo 4-piston calipers. They seem pretty quiet on the street - occasional squeaks but nothing to report unless you are super sensitive to any and all sounds.
TT RS: On track, I get about 8 days on a set of fronts with a mix of tracks like The Ridge (140+ mph on the front straight and 3 other 100+ mph straights), Thunderhill, Portland Int’l, ORP, Laguna Seca and Sonoma/Sears Point. Z4MC: 8-10 days on east coast tracks like WGI, NJMP, Summit, VIR, Road Atlanta. |

Off topic, but I知 at WGI next weekend for an open track day to test my AP BBK, Ferodo pads, and 265/30 & 295/30 Trofeo Rs. Also racing an E36 in the AER race. You can do the open track day on 4/19 for $375. Shoot me a message if you want more details. |

How did you handled the pad wear sensor? Can you attach it to the pad or you zip tied it to somewhere safe?

But make sure you remove the small brass spring clips from the tips and store them somewhere safe. Otherwise you’ll end up purchasing new sensors like me .

Going to ask a potentially dumb question, but I guess I don't really care... For those of us who track their cars regularly and swap pads back and forth (so we constantly see their condition), what is the purpose of utilizing the sensor which is a wear part (per my understanding) and increases cost. Thoughts...? Or am I missing something?

It痴 just easier to zip them up out of the way IMO.
