Mine came with Contis and I went into it with an open mind, not going to let it bug me and giving them a shot.
I've been driving it for some time now and I can say these Contis truly suck-ass. I was originally going to wear them out and replace with Michelins 4S but I don't think I can wait and I'll go back to my favorite PSS. |

Some simple math from the current poll numbers for MY17; you have 60% chance of getting PSS and 40% of getting stuck with Conti's. On the bright side, it's a great excuse to get the PS4S.

I have put 3.5 track days on the Contis and they were very good for a street tire. I consistently saw over 1g lateral on the Laptimer. With GC camber plates at -2.5 and Carbotech pads I could have done more with Rcomps, but they felt fine on cold tires and after warm up....still have enough tread to get 2 more days!

The P4S will not be much better than the PSS. It may have better rain performance but I don't care about that since my car never gets driven in the rain.

The Michelin pilot super sport replaced the Michelin pilot Ps2 that came on the 1M and were far better from day one ... The PS2 was phased out in 2011 immediately after the 1M was made and it was considered the top tire at the time. 5 years later the Pilot Supersport is showing its age and the P4S will likely be far superior i would think. I can't think of a lot of new tires right now that are worse than their predecessors.... tire companies have made some serious improvements in tires nearly annually over the last 5 years. |
