front and rear bumpers are a bit too ricer looking for my liking. The spoiler as well. But the side profile is beautiful.

Those lights tho...

thankfully looks very little like the underwhelming M235i

really hope the M2 takes cues from this 'virtual' car.

The M2 is influenced by the M235i Racing in which this concept looks like a more extreme version.

But if you look at every detail of this concept , every element from the aerodynamic packet to the body sculpture. If we take and shrink it to realistic proportions you get the look of an M car and even so a modern M car with sculpting for air curtains etc.

Even the inclusion of the side breather is an indication how it forms that sculpture at the front wheel arch.
Take a closer look at it and you can see it is more prominent rather than the stuck on look of the M235i Racing. But you also see the progress of evolution from this element on the 1M Coupe.

Even at the rear you can see the ducts that were on the 1M rear bumper assembly carried over and a similar cut-out for the diffuser.
1er M Coupe to M2 Coupe is continued progress but still with the same goal to appeal to younger customers and customers who are young at heart.

But what we have is a perfect base and the ideal source material to create realistic renderings.

To The Bimmerpost renderer artists....its over to you...

These days BMWs require a few double takes to figure out if you like how they look or not. Not a fan of the design direction in general.

But WOW. this one is an absolute knock out. A toned down version of this car would be a BIG design win for BMW. Let's make it happen!

+1
Like I said before, drop 180lbs off the M235 curb weight and give this car the sexy body we see here and I'm all over it!
Screw the M3/4. It's a completely different car and should be more driver focused than luxury minded. The 1M was such a huge hit amongst enthusiasts because it got back to basics.
If I wanted to drive a computer, I'd buy a GT-R (yes, I've driven several).

You know that this is supposed to be race car, right? And it actually evokes more of the CSL Batmobile and e21 Flying Brick than ricer.
