Wife's car 14 years on

EDIT - UPDATE - added some interior pics since went to the trouble cleaning the sucker!

Couldn't help myself and decided to share a few pics of our Mini Cooper S after I washed and waxed it today. First two are of the car new in 2004 and the other 3 taken today close to 14 years on and still looking very cool

!

This was a daily driver for 11 of the 14 years and is still as strong as a horse and in very decent shape - wife refuses to upgrade to a new one as its her baby!!

Thx guys - amazingly the only thing we've had to take care of is a new head liner (humidity here in Houston unforgiving!) - everything else as new (other than the custom painted wheel well fender covers and OEM side skirts that I did immediately after purchase - hated the cheap plastic accent that came as std on the car and still does to this day). Up close there are rock chips etc on front and the usual few nicks here and there from years of parking in parking lots, but to be expected!

Most appreciated - despite limited power range they are indeed a lot of fun to drive - was kind of hoping she'd prefer to upgrade which would allow me to mod the engine setup a bit but guess I'll have to wait a bit longer

- indeed is and was not really babied at all - driven like any other car we've owned - bought it the first year the car was introduced in '04

Next job is to clean interior but wont be that big a job as it is in very decent shape also (has leather interior).

PS: pics tend to highlight the wax job vs lots of nicks on front bumper, minor crack in rear bumper where someone bumped her in a parking lot and did a runner etc.! But overall has survived real well.

Mini are awesome! we have a mini store as well (mini of camarillo) and its funny bc Sr Thomas usually ALWAYS drives a mini cooper as his personal car. He loves those cars. They are also a blast to drive!

your looks brand new like others have stated.

Hey thx - different kind of driving experience of course but indeed are lot of fun - still has that go-cart feel

Wow that looks great! The indy shop I take my car to does two things - Mini's & BMWs (they actually like Mini's more).

Too bad my wife has a Jeep now.....

From back when the Mini was almost still mini! I had a black Gen I too and loved it. drove it down to Socal every weekend for work - it was the perfect car for bombing up and down the I5.

Nice colour on yours too, really nice.

Yeah definitely hear that! I am not such a fan of the later models as they just continually got bloated - the base Cooper S still has appeal but the rest not so much for us.
