Getting a 2017 Allocation

I guess I was lucky enough to get a 2017 allocation because a lot of people are giving up the their 2017 allocation to get the 2018 M2 cli. Did this happen to anyone else? Is 2018 worth the wait? The number I got was 11 people ahead of me if I waited for the 2018.

Garage List
2023 BMW M5  [10.00]
2023 BMW M5  [0.00]
Just get the car and enjoy it!!! You will always be waiting for the next one coming out and getting to the back of the list.

I have a '15 M4 that I'm enjoying every single time I drive it and a '17 M2 that is a lot of fun for a DD. Was #7 on the list for that one and every one in front of me bailed out because of expectations about a new engine... They are still waiting and I'm driving an awesome car!!!

Life is too short!

Good luck!

Assuming the dealer is honest about the list for the 2018 (I've never met an honorable and honest dealer) by the time you get the 2018 people will be talking about the 2019 model with a B58 or some new unfounded rumor and you will be tempted to wait again. Just do it, the 2017 is close to perfection already. I don't find myself thinking about the LCI ever and I'm historically someone who has always desired the latest and greatest. Not this time.

Plus, LED lights are beyond overrated imo, it's personal opinion if you think they look better, but in my experiences with them they don't put out nearly as much light as the xenons.

Yes, I did accepted the allocation. In fact, production just finished today. If it's the new engine, I'm sure a Dinan or some other aftermarket will make up for it. As for the LED lights, I can simply pick up a set of bulbs from Amazon. I did it for my FJ Cruiser after the Xenon bulbs were giving me issues. I can't wait to be part of the club.

There won't be any new engine (my guess) but I still want an 18 LCI

The headlights alone will be worth it and at this point I'm not waiting that much longer. I havent been offered a 17 allocation. I have been offered two cars on the lot that didn't match the color / transmission / options I want.

Plus we probably can upgrade our 17' headlights with the LCI ones if we want to/if they're available.
