Don't be so sad. The M2 is one of the best Ms I have ever owned and I have owned almost all of them since 1998. It is a fabulous car.

I believed there would be a 6MT offered on the M2 CS.

Initially they probably have thought of DCT only but that might have changed.

Even the GTS might have a decent chance of receiving a 6MT given that Porsche's brilliant 6MT is available on the GT4 and now the GT3.

LOL

I'm a manual kind of guy(just believe it, E46 M3, E90 M3 6MT, F30 335i 6MT, 1M to name just a few ) but if:
-DCT is faster.
-I do track and driftdays.
-6MT costs 8k euros more where I live.
-DCT works excellent when drifting 3/4/5th gear.

If they both were same price (M2 6MT vs DCT), I hate myself for saying I'd choose the DCT again....sorry

Cheers

so does that mean you wouldn't buy an M2 based on the M4 reviews?

oh wait.. I see you have an M2 on order... you better CANCEL that and wait for the M2 ZCP because the M4 ZCP is getting WAY better reviews than the M4 !
It's a race car. A track car. Can't pick up chicks in it. They hate those seat belts.

...And me,join the club.

After years of driving MT and changing over to auto some years ago there's no going back for me especially with congested roads and the like,a clutch is the last thing on my mind.

This is really bad. More people like F87LUV will start moving to used porsches then.

Regular M2 N55 is supposed to be getting the LCI later this year. Will it be dropped once the CS is out? I don't think so, but I could be wrong - I'll give this 80/20 chance, basically the same I gave to Clinton/Trump. If there's been a very recent decision to continue with CS only, I won't be surprised if the LCI is also cancelled (less than a full year of production wouldn't make sense).

I am not aware of the GTS.
I've also heard nothing about the GTS and my sources are straight from the horse's mouth

I still can't believe how many idiots put down a deposit over a year in advance for a non existent car. All of those unscrupulous dealers taking advantage of people.

I'm thinking ADM for the greedy dealers. But who knows? I do think the GTS will be at a bare minimum $90k.

TESLA? You got to be joking...

Currently with very little competition their operating results are already miserable.

I am not sure if they will still be around when all other established car manufacturers start offering similar or even better products.

It's an unfortunate necessity in this case. If the regular M2 is as difficult to get as it is, then any sort of special edition will be even more so. You'll need to be close to first on the list with money on the table.

And besides, the track is really the only place that you can reliably and safely use everything that the M2 comes with from BMW. I'm still at a loss to understand how many people line up power, brake, suspension mods, etc., as soon as they buy something like an M2. It's a car that comes from BMW way more capable than virtually any purchaser is (regardless of what you really believe about your driving capabilities). So, rather than spend thousands on a tune to gain some moderate HP, why not spend it on track time, so you can learn to drive it closer to the cars' capabilities?

Beg to differ from personal experience. The M2's stock suspension handles the added HP quite nicely, even on shoddy roads. My car was transformed from a being fun to being shit tons of fun.
