I just took delivery of my m2 is Saturday with m performance exhaust and I'm pretty sure it still has the vibration problem on startup. Doesn't really bother me. Love the exhaust!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION * The exhaust system is currently being reworked by BMW, the reason being vibrations on the tailpipes. The revised version is expected to be available again in March! * good |

They already use this number when you click on his link and search for the part no.
Maybe they have already updated the system but the exhaust is not yet available.

OK, I spoke to bmw and the only reason it was delayed is because it sold out due to overwhelming demand. The company that makes it (small uk company) do not have the capability to produce mass production so, had to put a hold on numbers to get batches prepared.

I had my MPE installed 2 months ago. I do not get any vibrations during a cold start. Maybe someone can set up a poll on MPE vibration issues. Indicate wether it was dealer or port installed. I have no issues with my dealer installed MPE.

Is everyone aware that the vibration only happens when cold starting and for about 5-10 sec. Just go and get the MPE that's available. There will be no power improvement with the new one either, the bmw engineer made it clear that the with the MPE exhaust the car will make little to no power improvement.

I've placed the order for a mpe back in Dec '16. Been told last week that the replacement can now be ordered. Suppose to arrive soon...

Not on realoem.com so must have released in the last month or so since realoem currently has a 2/17 catalog update.

Interesting tidbit for all those with MPE. After 4000+ miles, I was having really bad drone issues at freeway cruising speeds (75mph @ 3K rpm). Almost headache inducing. Bad enough that I was staying in 5th gear on the freeway, because it was quieter.
After reading this thread, hearing that others were not experiencing the same, I decided to take it in. Coincidentally, the BMW rep was in town, so he and the service mgr took a ride with me. I got a call the next day that they were going to warranty it. Although not the new model number, the new one has far less drone and I am really pleased BMW had my back and replaced it. For what it is worth, vibration at cold start has never been an issue since it only lasts 3-5 seconds at most. Short acceleration clip from last weekend on Hwy 74 in SoCal. https://youtu.be/csUga5yeE0Y
