Visually they do 'look' great, but have nothing like the same sidewall protection as the WTs.
Correct...don't see the point of the big ugly sidewall unless you drive with really muddy boots all the time or planning to make a small aquarium with some fish in there

Interesting because if you select M car > M2 coupe...

"We are sorry, the part you have chosen does not fit the current vehicle model you have selected, please make necessary vehicle selection below:"

Selecting 2 series > m235i the website says ...no problem

I guess the M mats are more expensive! You need to look here!

The mats would fit in any of the F22/23/87 models, they're the same interior.

If I end up selling the winter mats for my 228i with the car then I'll probably go with WeatherTech for my M2. I did end up with a bit of a mess with the BMW mats and snowy boots with salt and crap.

Do the WeatherTech mats fit with the M Performance Stainless Steel Pedals?

I have the weatherTech mats and the stainless pedal set. They fit fine - small portion of the dead pedal is covered.

I've heard this mentioned before but find it hard to believe weathertech would allow such a flaw persist, given how well their mats fit the intended model... eg not one mat to fit them all.

I'm wondering, if some customers do not receive the carpet "hooks" to secure the mats. So instead they just put them in the car unsecured and they end up slipping further up catching on the clutch.

I have a DCT, and when my weathertechs arrived they did not come with hooks. So I improvised and placed industrial self adhesive velcro (soft) underneath to align with the OEM velcro mounts - my mats are locked in place

Happy to post pictures, just let me know
I'm having this very annoying issue. Mine did not come with hooks and I have a MT so the clutch is always snagging the mat. I tried some Velcro but it keeps coming off. Maybe bigger Velcro with stronger adhesive would work better?

I believe I have posted the same comment in one of the post at Member Classified.

Try to call or email Weathertech, and tell them that you are missing the hook-and-loop retention kit for both driver and passenger side that look similar to the picture below and they will send you one for free if you are the original owner who did not receive the hooks;

This should secure both floorliners to the floor.

I had no idea! Just called them and they're shipping it right away. Thanks!
