Turner performance tuning module
It claims 70hp for the about $700 plug and play module. Any body installed it yet? Dinan stage 1 runs about $1500 an increase of 30 HP.

Wow, this is very interesting.
https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-3...it/?pdk=BgYDAw I've used Turner stuff in the past, and it's always been great. I have no idea how this guy works, but I'm guessing it's similar to the Dinantronics unit. |

Seems pretty interesting. I would love to hear from someone that actually used it. How does it function with aftermarket items installed, ie, HF cat, intake, exhaust?

TMS has had excellent support in my experience. I used to know a guy who worked for them. I'll see if I can find out more.
Install instructions: https://1c2a8a2161d644d95009-22d26b3...structions.pdf This is a new unit, and there is not an tech data available to the public as of yet. I also asked for dyno sheets, and they said they are getting a new dyno installed, or moving it, or something like that. They said dyno sheets, and tech data will be available shortly. So, this tuner box actually hooks into both TMAP sensors (TB & Manifold) as well as the camshaft position sensor (CPS). It would appear that it's going to be more capable than the JB+ or sport tuner, but less than the Dinatronics Stage 1 piggy-back. Either way, I'd be interested in trying it out. If their claims are true, and this unit is safer & more reliable than the other 2 options I just listed, then... Max HP gain = 72 hp Max Trq gain = 90 ft-lbs Is decent bang for the buck... Meh, with BM3 out i would not even look at Jb4 that still doesn't have any local testers or proper support yet.

Turner Power Module
Greetings F30 Forum and fellow drivers! I have been a Turner Motorsports customer for years with my 2001 330i and have been very happy with their products and customer service. I actually just installed one of these on my 2014 335i M Sport 6MT last week. Unfortunately/Fortunately I purchased it before I started reading up on my cars potential in detail in these forums. I say unfortunately because it seems that there are other unites out there for about the same amount of money that offer more tuning features. I say fortunately because I took advantage of a 48hr sale for $150 off about a week after I bought the car and to be honest, it does seem to make a very noticeably difference. Now with that said, I've only had this car for a month and probably only put 2K miles on it. So I've never really had a chance to get a complete and true feel for the cars feel and factory power band before I started "Tinkering" with it. I put the Dinan Intake on it 2wks ago and it took about 3-4 hundred miles to actually notice any slight bit of difference it actually makes on it's own. Now as far as the Turner Power Module goes, I'm not sure if it will take the time I've read and heard that it takes for the ECU to adjust and accommodate for bolt on mods but there is a noticeable difference. However it does seem inconsistent. There are times that I'm not really trying to get on it and it seems to just wanna take off, And there are times when I'm trying to get on it slightly yet it doesn't seem to wanna go as much. 2nd and 3rd gear seems to come on very strong when I'm getting on it yet 1st gear seems no different. Anything outside of that is unexplored territory for me cause shifting @ 6K through 2nd & 3rd gear already puts me in triple digits on the speedo, so I really haven't completely hammered on it to take it to it's limits because of the stories I've read about blowing charge pipes off with more than stock boost. So I'm waiting till I get that upgraded and my inner cooler before I really hammer on it. Over all I am happy with what I got for my money, however I didn't realize the potential of this car until I started getting into these forums and reading about all the other tuners out there that open up a whole other world of possibilities. On the fly map changes, boost adjustment, meth injection etc. Sorry for the rambling post, just trying to explain my situation and experience. Hope this is of some help. Any help or suggestions anyone can provide for me would be greatly appreciated as I am entering uncharted territory with this new chassis and power plant. Way different from the 318i E36 and 330i E46 I've been used to for the last 10yrs.

Unfortunately I haven't looked into access to a dyno yet. I live way out in the country, drive an hour one way to work and my closest dealer is about 56 miles away. I am curious about these apps I'm seeing here on the forums though that show hp, torque and boost though!?... Are they accurate, do they only work and link with specific tunning modules or do they work in conjunction with the car and any Blu Tooth device!?...

Yeah, I know! Unfortunately like I mentioned in my initial post I purchased the Turner Module about a week after buying my car and before I started reading up on my cars potential in these forums. Seems like the JB4 is the way to go if you really wanna get into some serious tuning. I already have the Turner Module now and I'm happy with it, so I'll stick with it for now and focus on upgrading my charge pipe, inner cooler and exhaust system.

Now I'm debating on going with a catted down pipe to avoid cel or just get the catless and deal with the cel until I get the JB4 to eliminate it.
