MooMoo M2 dual duty build
2020 BSM M2 Competition
Plan is to build it into a 80% track car, 20% road car. It will be a slow build because I am not made out of money. Last year was my first year doing HPDEs and of course I am hooked, did about 5 or 6 and a car control clinic. Trying for a bit more this year. Mostly will run at Lime Rock but going to NY safety in October and doing Watkins this year as well, maybe I can fit in NJ or Palmer we will see. So far car is pretty stock. Just some carbon parts, APEX EC7 Wheels, MPerformance V2 Wheel. Last year I ran with stock pads castrol sfr fluid but this year getting some track pads. Also looking into getting a bucket seat and some camber plates. That will probably be the extend of the mods for the year. Its cool to drive the car stock and then do small upgrades to really see how much they contribute (a good thing to tell yourself as well). |

Those are some sweet sideway pics! It's great to mod the car slowly, especially since track days eat up consumables like tyres & fluids. No garage queens here !

Yeah I am excited to see how things change. Just going track pads this year will probably be revealing, Ferodo 1.11s none the less. Suspension will be big and probably next year, I was going to get TCKling but some people have been convincing me to just get MCS, do it right the first time around, we will see.

Awesome shots OP. I’ll be at lime rock this weekend(April 1) with EMRA.
My car is also set up for street/track. Maybe we will see each other at an event this season. I also instruct. My current setup this year is: Millway street camber plates Ultra racing front strut bar 513m 18x10 square with 275’s CSF IC, Wagner DP, AFE filter, charge pipe. My first day of the season is April 29th with BMW CCA. I wish it was sooner but just could not make other days (I about tried to go this weekedn with SCDA but I see that it got cancelled because of snow so glad i did not. I bet we will see each other sometime this season, I will be there at least 3/4 times, maybe more. Its interesting that sometimes there are a ton of M2s (I have seen over 6, and sometimes I am the only one |

Rest of car is stock and for that excellent, still hoping to add a bucket seat this season and some camber plates (although the tires don't actually look that bad after a few days with stock camber. Next day will be May 12th, also at lime rock with SCDA. Then maybe Thomson in June and another lime rock day in July both with SCDA (I bought a 3 pack during black friday). Also have New York Safety track with Mass tuning in early October. Also hopefully another day with BMW CCA, probably their final day of the season in October. What events are you doing this year? What are your plans? |

Love the progressions into this addictive sport. How worn were your tires without the camber plates?

Pretty bad that said those tires had a bunch of days already (first few track days not pushing too much so they lasted more than they should). But now need new tires so getting some plates at the same time to try to get more days out of them or wallet is in trouble

I thought about getting something else to track but with only 5-8 track days a year would not be enough use. E36 track prepped (or drift cars) are wicked, there was a guy at the last track day and he was FAST, he had way more experience than me for sure but I could not keep up with much faster car (but he had full gut, cage, buckets, ect, ect + better driver). C5 would be wicked as a track car or drift car, I think best bang for the buck
