Shipping is easy! I bought my Volvo S60 T5 in Vancouver and had it shipped out (so hard to find manual Volvos I had to go far and wide to get one at the time). |

Just wanted to ask some advice, should I be worried that I've been 'given' an allocation verbally through email, but no details of the allocation even after asking for it?
My sales rep. says I have the allocation for a March build for delivery in late April/early may but says she would contact me closer to the date with the details. |

In all seriousness though, once you have the prod #, there isn't much anyone can do because you're now just waiting for the car to be built and shipped. |

I agree with gmzanatta... she needs to give you your production number ASAP. Otherwise, you are at the mercy of a better offer coming in and them bumping you down non the wiser. If they have an allocation they have the prod #. Or perhaps another SA sold it out form under her to Kid Eh?

Today I basically finalized my deal to pick up my M2, hopefully for the BMW Canada M Euro Tour at the end of May, otherwise for Euro-delivery end of May/early June. I don't have absolute confirmation of the allocation yet and they still need to announce actual dates for the Euro Tour this year but with a little luck it should all work out. I've been on my dealership's list since March/April last year.
For anyone else interested in the Euro Tours (Canadian's only, it's run by BMW Canada), this year they're running 4 of them. One in late May for any M cars, a June one for i8 customers and then 2 in August with cars TBD. The actual dates haven't been announced but your SA should be able to get their hands on the initial documentation sent out from BMW Canada. |

Going on this trip will really turn you into a "driver" and really appreciate a "driver's car" if you weren't before then. i.e. drive to drive, take the long way home etc kind of guy. Just one note, if you bring a second person, make sure they do like driving and road trips. It is a bit of a whirlwind. Also, they may want to bring some sea-sickness pills for very "spirited" drives such as the Monte Carlo Rally roads. Oh and as for dressing up, do bring at least one set of nice clothes. Although BMW Canada will say no real need, some of the places you go to are pretty posh ( we stayed in a hotel where the Prince of Bavaria was staying ), and the rest of the M guys dress up, so out of a sign of appreciation I wish I had brought more "nicer" clothes.

** it did not cover gas The service is amazingly top notch. Where ever you go, no waiting, no lines and you never see the bill for anything. Wherever you go a few BMW reps would leave early to ensure that by the time you get there, they are ready to receive and direct you. i.e. really royal treatment when you get to a hotel. Checking in there is a reserved line for you if it's crowded and parking is usually pre-reserve spots out front or around a fountain so all passerbys can bask in the glory of the fleet of impressive BMW M cars.
