Just found out my M2 is on the Tosca and due for arrival in Halifax on the 24th.

Car is arriving at Halifax on October 17th and my CA just told me there's no record of any rear diff recall for my M2 on their end.
AM I OUT OF THE WOODS?!

Well, not me, but my M2!!! Now to move on to continuously checking shipping tracking sites! At least it just has to get to Halifax.

Time to tweak my username... even if it is still a few thousand klicks away.

My guestimate: your car will arrive to the dealer on Nov-2nd and ready for delivery on Friday Nov-4th. Mark this down.

At this point 1-2 days does not impact much.

My car arrived in Halifax on Aug-15th and arrived to dealer on Sep-1st actually... My initial assessment was wrong.

BMW emailed me today offering an early November allocation for end of January delivery! Had to decline as my plan was to take possession closer to summer... =(

You can always get the dealer to store it for the 2-3 months - I'm sure they'd love the eye candy on the floor to drive business.

First impressions after a hundred km of bombing around:

-steering, brakes, engine, shifter all tremendous
-clutch sucks. BMS clutch stop ordered to shorten the obscenely long travel

I'm surprised more publications haven't made this comparison and maybe it's just me but the car really feels like an FR-S on steroids. It's much more focused than the M235i and much more fun than the M3/M4. It's basically everything I want in a sporty car and the only one I like significantly better is the 911. So this'll do me fine until the inevitable Porker.

Over a year's worth of waiting but it was worth it overall. Helluva thing.

I got my vin number from my as..checked the BMW vin decoder website and they have vin with a production date of Oct 15, 2016... It's a my2017, BSM, MT, with the M performance exhaust, ZX1, and Smartphone connectivity package,ZTV...not sure when it gets completed....
