studded winter tires?

anybody here run studded tires in the winter? looking into getting a set , need maximum traction

Does Montreal not use salt?

Studs only give you more grip on ice. They don't really do much in snow. If you're routinely seeing ice, then you want studs, but most major cities put down salt which melts the ice...
