Official: BMW M2 begins production in November 2015 for the U.S.!

Yep....BMW is feeling some heat from Ford.

All i got say is this M2 better be/have some balls.
The price has to be right.
The performance has to be impressive.

or else that GT350 or GT350R

is gonna be getting parked in my garage.

I'm already sick of hearing about Mustangs. Don't get me wrong, I respect them, but it's hilarious to be comparing the M2 to those.

Is anyone else comparing the CLA45AMG to a GT350R with over 500hp? Of course not, what the hell. They are going to be even faster than the M3/4, yet alone the M2!

I didn't realize that the 40i engines were going to be that powerful. Makes it an interesting choice for sure...

I was thinking the same thing - there's going to be some 235s being traded in or sold in about 14 months.

I am also excited to see this fully unveiled but I have to say this discussion of a price around $55k and the idea of a preowned M3 in the same range is giving me second thoughts.

According to BMW -- referring to an even number series car as a "coupe" is redundant. Yet their system shows it as an "M2 Coupe".
