Use a good quality titanium drill bit for the brakes, I think I used a 5/32 size bit. You have to remove the stock rubber cover and drill the pilot holes through the steel brake pedal. The trickiest part here is securing the nut at the back while you're screwing on the replacement pedal covers...there's not a lot of room and it can be a bit frustrating.

For the gas pedal, it comes with a couple of small screws, but its mainly secured with the included 3M tape...goes right over the stock one. For these pilot holes use a smaller bit...I think I used a 3/32 bit. The stock pedal all plastic, so easier to drill.

Edit - also make sure you've got a decent Torx screw driver set. The included screws' sizes are I think Torx 20...
Perfect! Sounds easy enough. Glad I saved the $200 they wanted to port install them.. My dealer told me $320 installed at the port and I just bought the pedals brand new for $120 and will install myself

LOL...my dealer wanted to charge me 2 hours labour to install them, on top of the cost of the pedals. Do it yourself = money for other mods

Have a question but don't think its worthy of its own topic.

Is there a set of mudguards available for the M2?

Mine's just the foam 'holder' supplied by BMW (as shown below).

I made a whole with dremel in one of the plastic inserts for the cup holders you can buy. I think this looks cleaner with especially the trim and the button is situated a bit higher as wel.

These were meant for the 1 series, they fit.

Thanks. Interesting.

So I guess a 50 cl soft drink beverage bottle now no longer 'dances around' inside the cup holder on the right, right ? Those cup holder inserts also could be practical to 'stabilize' a small walkie talkie, I guess.

Part numbers of those different cup holder inserts ?

I received 2 items today:

1. Sto-n-Sho releasable, center mount, front license plate holder (very slick design - lightweight, easily removable, simple to install).

2. TechnicPnP ASD bypass harness - no fake engine noise, please.

Alas, an M2 on which to install them did not arrive today. -scr

Not from the factory. Sure you can get something really nice from AutoZone though.

I have a friend that had to mount some thin flat ones on his Mustang, barely can see them but enough to protect any flying rock you could pick up while hard cornering.

Have you had any issues while tracking yours? I plan on tracking mine but don't want to have to be covering so much with painters tape on the sides, and I hope the XPel on the front helps.

My past track car I didn't care about it that much and it did cover up the wider tires with its OEM mudguards but this one I don't wan't to minimize the risk.

Will do! I felt like it was a bit of a gamble, but I am hoping it pays off.

It will look awesome. The gloss black back with the body colored marker is the best imo. I want it in AW.

That makes two of us!! I know the car is on a truck from Galveston to Dallas today. Unfortunately, I'm headed out of town for the long weekend...
