It really goes to show just how damn good the M2 is and how incredible it becomes once you factor in the value proposition.

Edit: also want to note I'm surprised the typically pudgy C63 did so well

Sport Auto already tested the M2 at 1:12.2 on same course a few months ago. Why they using 1:12.5?

My understanding is that this was a new test, with the same driver and day/conditions for all the cars, which makes sense for a direct comparison.

No, SportAuto only tested the M4 with Competition Package against the C63 S Coupe.

Someone threw in the M2 number from their short test (1:12.5, same driver as M4/C63S) and forgot about the recent Supertest where it ran 1:12.2 (different driver).

Conditions were not the same!

This. I had to chuckle when I saw the cherry picking in the other thread.
Also in the same super test, SA said parts of the ring were not completely dry, or they could have gone quicker than the 8:01.
