I have both also. It did increase the steering feel. I am happy I did it.

I too will be adding some custom corner braces in to add some carbon. I did add the M2C carbon u brace to help with adding rigidity.

I just picked up a set of these and a KC Design front strut bar, instead of doing the PITA M2C/M3/M4 brace & strut bar retrofit project.

Thanks for your review F87source!

No problem at all! I hope you like them!

Also, I would personally go for something other than a fixed strut brace (unless its the AFE one because it has superior rigidity to all others due to its very nice tubular design - but apparently it hits the engine cover so that's something to consider), because the strut tower bolts are single use (unless you have after market coil overs or camber plates) and that means every time you want to remove the strut brace you have to replace the strut tower bolts - which can get expensive and annoying. So I'd go for a 2 piece strut tower brace like the racing dynamics one.

How similar is the CF weave to the eventuri intake?

I'm considering infinity design intake, not saying they use the same CF but they're related products (same engineer).

Deciding between matte for intake so it's different to the turner braces or keep everything gloss CF but we all know unless OE the weaves will be slightly different and I suppose, different weaves can be viewed as interesting too...

First world problems right here folks

Completely understand and this was one of my concerns too before i bought them. lol! Here’s a picture of them so you can see. It’s extremely similar.

I am unsure of the CF weave patterns look like on the intakes you mentioned so I can't give a sure answer - but jello seems to have some good images.

Me personally I am not too concerned about matching and I went with a matte carbon intake from TMS and still have the gloss corner braces lol.

Wow very similar thanks for the reply guys.

I think either would work then matte intake or gloss and the gloss braces (wet sand then anyone?!) Hehe

In reality we don't stare at the engine bay all that much but still nice to have it look...well... nice.

Brace back in, I shoved it rearward so that the front mount holes are touching the bolts, I figured it's used in tension being CF hopefully so removed the play in that area.

So quite immediately you notice the whole car is taughter in feel is how I put it. It is noticeable. It feels like it's dancing on the surface a bit more without being skittish perse.

Without the brace the car is more relaxed. Initial turn in very slightly sharper with CF in. With very abrupt foolish turning I feel the car 'tuck' more than I would expect, not sure what ramifications of this are..then again I didn't do such foolish turning without the CF hehe

So I will continue taking it in and out as it's V easy. I feel it does do something. Enough to notice so at least 15% of something but probably not more than 25%!?

Yeah I noticed an impact too, not sure exactly how much without quantifiable data to back it up but I'm pretty sure there's a difference.

I'd love to loan a set of turners and see if it gets you 80% of the CF brace or what it does tbh.

Still they're like six hundred bucks so you've got to be commited!
