Jack pad roll-up bag
Silly idea I had: I *hate* stuff rattling around loose anywhere in the car, so I made a roll-up bag for my jack pads. I'm not going to win any sewing contests, but it works as intended.

I like the idea and the sewing looks fine to me but I'm wondering why you drive around with 4 jack pads in your car? I could see having one incase you get a flat and bower a jack from someone but 4 seems a tad excessive!

A bit excessive perhaps, especially on top of the alloy spare kit I carry in the trunk with a jack that shouldn't need a pad. The spare kit was included by the previous owner. I have a long daily commute, so I would have bought one myself. The alternative, the "tire repair kit" provided, strikes me as something to keep you busy while waiting for a AAA rollback to arrive.
I wanted to keep the pads together, and it isn't a lot of mass so I figured I'd keep them in the car for when I haven't planned ahead. It's easy to change my mind later. |
