Mperformance wheel V2

Upgraded the cockpit. Wheel is very chunky but same diameter as stock. Flatter bottom and angles to grab on to on side. Alcantara is high quality and comfortable. Very easy to find the wheel and drive it hard. Install was done in about an hour following other DYI. Hardest part is tidying up the wires like stock. Dont be afraid to install but make sure you have a 16mm socket.

Nice! I also have the M Performance wheel and it is super.
But how did you make shifters & cover blue?

(just as a note, the alcantara parts are thicker than stock wheel)

I had them painted from IND. And yes the alcantara sections are thicker and shaped a little differently as is the entire wheel.

I really like that wheel. Right now hard to justify the $900 after writing the check for the car. I had a similar wheel made for my E46 M3 less than a year ago and love it.

On another thread a guy didn't like the fact that you lose the wheel heat with this wheel. I don't have that pkg so I wouldn't care. Not much need for it in Florida.

Yours looks great.

The wheel was 765 from getbmwparts.com. I have the heated function but never used it. The wheel feels great. I like the shape of it more in my hands than anything

Skip the trim piece. I love carbon and bought a bunch of other accessories, but passed on the nearly $300 trim piece.
