Trackpads are more abrasive when cold so they will wear out your rotors quicker. Ideally, you should swap out the track pads after an event. |

Can you recommend some pads that are not that track focused and can be used 90% on the street and 10% at the track? Like Michelin recommends to use the Pilot SuperSports.
As I mentioned in a different post from another thread the stock pads are really really bad even on the street when going a bit faster on mountain roads. I'm getting worried not to ruin my discs with pad deposit. |

DS2500 has the best initial bite and likely the best modulation in sport/light track day applications. Stoptech Sport is probably the most OEM like, but don't have the initial bite like OEM. Bite at higher temps are better though. |

PM with quote if you can deliver to New Zealand - Wellington. I am looking for RST3 'reds' to fit AP CP9668 Pro 5000 Radi-Cal – the CP9668 being the Endurance version that takes the 25mm thick pads.

I'm also wondering this. I acquired a pair for the front and was told some people are running stock rears just fine on the tracks.

With OEM or just a sport type of pad there will be a front bias causing ABS to activate much sooner than expected. PM incoming! |

These pads are harder on rotors than street pads when cold so street use should be kept to a minimum.

Quick question about swapping RS29 and OE pads: is there any issue with the compounds and needing to scrape? Part of the Performance Friction pitch is easy switch street to track (z rated to 08 as an example). Or is there a recommended street match for the RS29? Same question but for the DS2500. Thx.

If you want to use the Ferodo DS2500 on the street, then it makes sense to use their DS1.11 or DSSuno for the track. There is no bed-in required within the Ferodo compounds. |
