Engine Fan on…overnight parked

Anyone have this issue…car has been parked and not driven(overnight) but some engine fan was running.
Unlocked my car and the fan stopped.
Anyone experience this issue or have a solution. Has happened twice. Likely was drained my battery the other week.

check for codes. Generally when you see excessive fan running your water pump could be on its way out.

Yea I guess I’ll have to take it into a shop. I don’t have anything to read the codes.

I’ve read about water pump or AC ECU failure….

Buy protool or bimmerlink, they have pretty good diagnostics support.
