LBB touch-up paint?

Dealer has none. Plus he says there is none in the states unless it's mixed up by an independent shop. He says lbb paint part numbers only pertain to Euro cars and won't ship here. WTF? Really?

Use Dr Color Chip. They have had the best color match imo.

This is true. My dealer had a small batch mixed to touch up a dig they put in my rocker panel during 1st service. Had to use some the other day to touch up a chip on the edge of my front wheel arch and the match was spot on.

Nope.. No C16 LBB to be had.

The BMW Bodyshop mixed their own LBB paint and also supplied a touch up paint from BMW directly. None of them seemed to match the LBB at all. The patch always stood out because it isnt as smooth and it always looked darker or softer.

DrColorChip seems to work best since it sorta smudges the clear coat over the original damaged area and sorta smooths it out.

Since it is being mixed independently there is room for error. Guess I got lucky as what I received was accurate to my eye. Color is color, how it is applied and end result is another matter.

I also went to my local dealer to buy some and could not find it anywhere on his computer.

I just think its really weird that bmw doesnt supply their stateside dealers with touchup paint. This is the only color Ive ever heard of that you just cannot get from BMWUSA. Frankly, it pisses me off.. What kind of customer support is this anyway?!
