Stared at her alluring front side for a bit and then just stood there mesmerized by her sexy hips.

Later that night, I went to the garage to get the laundry out of the dryer and I'd figure I'll give her a quick rub down. I must have took awhile because as I was standing next to her in my boxers wiping gracefully..my wife suddenly opens the door to the garage and I turned quickly and said "its not what it looks like!!"

Think of the coolest mods you have seen, and then what you have the money to do right away.

Paint protection film does not change the cars appearance unless you do matte film, so you may think that it does not add much, but if you got a chip in the paint on the front bumper, you will feel pretty bad about it, especially if you like to look at your car which many of us do. So I would do that first.

Since you got the DCT, you wont need the BMS clutch stop which makes a noticeable difference when you drive the manual.

How much does a decent PPF job cost?

For the entire car? 6k give or take. Suntek is usually cheaper than Xpel I think because the labor is easier to do so perhaps get quotes for both films, and maybe some others as well. Paying cash usually results in a discount. Say you will do a good yelp review and there might be more discount.

When I got my car back from ED, I had the MPE put on at the port, and the windows tinted at the dealer. On the first night of the re-delivery, I was almost T-boned by a drunk driver in a black 328xi that ended up in the ditch. I called 911 and 2 fire trucks and eventually 2 cop cars showed up and took my statement and took the fool away.

After that about a month later I had PPF put on as well as a dash cam!

Ok cool. What are the most important spots to do if I don't wanna spend the $6k? Front bumper and....?

This is the typical front end package that I think most get. I would recommend this and then add anything else you think is important (1200-2200?)

Font bumper
hood
front fenders
headlights
mirrors

Other popular additions are

A pillars
leading edge of roof. Could consider entire roof if you don't like to see the line, but that's more expensive.

Even more pannels people like to get are

rocker panels
rear fenders (M2 already has some there, but some remove it and put a larger PPF piece there)
trunk deck (why?)
behind the rear wheel arches where rear wheels kick up rocks
door cups

Some spend less by getting partial front fender and partial hood but I personally don't want to see the line. Doing the full panels lets them wrap the panel so there is no visible line.

Let's see...first week:

- Wrote a big check.
- PPF (Xpel on the front bumper)
- Cup holder inserts
- Removed the horrible airbag warnings from the visors (paper towel an iso alcohol).
- Mperf floor mats
- Coded a few things with Bimmercode (already had app and dongle)
- Figured out all the iDrive stuff. When going from an E46 to this thing it's like going from a flip phone to a smart phone.

and of course lots of driving and smiling.

Before driving out of the dealership with my new M2 I looked over my shoulder to make sure the sales staff weren't looking at me.

When the coast was clear I got out my tools and began removing a $hitty dealer sticker they'd put on the front windscreen.

I screwed it up in my hand and stealthily drove out without anyone noticing.

Sometimes I can be a bit of badass like that.

1. Drive!
2. Smile wide enough to break cheekbones.
3. Xpel front end and mirrors
4. Wash followed by two coats of P21S
5. M Performance mats and covercraft car cover
6. Order custom license plates.
7. Buy 640M 18" winter wheels with PA4 booties on.
8. Try to figure out how to work the gizmos... turn off all the nannies, turn on Car Play, make the damned rev matching and 'shift indicator display' get out of my face.
9. Continue smiling.

Please, I would have asked them to remove the sticker, if they did not I would have no issue removing it in front of them. I can't help but roll my eyes right now at the thought of them putting a sticker on a new car with their name/logo.

Were you worried at all about break in? Just curious. I know there's a debate as to whether you really need to or not...
Like many I had done plenty of research about both sides of the argument, in the end it is whatever you feel comfortable with.

I decided to honor the RPM break in procedure, however I personally felt if I was already going 106mph on the autobahn what's another 20mph...

Same can be said for the laps on the ring.
