Cool When you first got your M2, what were the first couple things you did?

Take it straight to the tint shop? Go on a canyon run?

Now that I'm about 2 months out from pickup, I've been visualizing what I'll do when it finally comes... what did you do when yours finally arrived?

I spent the first 5 hours on my knees wrapping the front end with trac wrap in a underground garage in Munich after the ED pickup!

Then she went straight to the autobahn the next morning, heading 125mph+ straight to the Nurburgring for a few laps the next morning.

Mine arrives in a few weeks....ordered with stainless steel pedals, black front grills, and black side markers......color is LBB, exec pkge, dct, and mats.

Once I get the car drive straight to Clear bra/tint installer....Clear bra (bumper, hood, lights, fenders, rocker panels, etc), tints, black chrome M2 rear badge, painted front reflectors, Supreme Power black exhaust tips, and M-performance steering wheel.

Washed, claybar and polished the entire car, put temp Xpel on it and then drove to a tint PPF shop, Protective Film Solutions and then when I got back coated the entire car in CQuartz.

Then a few days later swapped out the grills, side marker grill thing, tail pipes and M2 badge all to black versions.

For those in harsh environments I recommend getting the entire front done, the rockers and a larger piece in front of the rear tires, behind the rear wheels isn't a terrible idea either. I noticed after a few weeks the rockers were taking a beating from small loose rocks on the streets so that is an area that is susceptible because of the shape.

Getting a nearly identical build and plan on doing much the same when it arrives. Congrats.

Were you worried at all about break in? Just curious. I know there's a debate as to whether you really need to or not...

I had to do a 1500km trip from Sydney to rural Victoria for some Cyclicross racing. Driving down the Freeway changing up and down through the gears was a bit silly.

Only one stone chip but a big one thanks to a grey nomad who had sawn off the mudflaps from his caravan - grrr

1. Drove it home and parked in garage.
2. One week later, drove it to Xpel installer. (I know the heartbreak of chips before PPF.).
