What the heck is this on the CC?

Sorry if this has been answered. It's kind of hard to search for something if you don't know what the heck it is.

Anyway, there's a little round circle about the size of a pencil eraser at around 4 o'clock from the driver's climate control adjust. I thought it may be some sort of light sensor, but nothing seems to change when I block it.

It's not making me totally crazy, but it is bugging me a touch. Any ideas?

I wondered that also! Does it push? It also bugs me that the passenger vent button shows three pathways for airflow when there are only two....

It's a led light, it started flashing when I coded/calibrated my climate control.

You sure on that? If that's the case it'd be infrared and that can only take the temperature of a surface, not the air. If you have one of those infrared temperature guns you know what I mean.

Interesting that the previous poster saw it blink when he coded one of the modules.

There are 3 pathways...

Upper is the dash vents (for defrost)
Middle is at your face
Bottom is foot vents
