Thanks everyone -- great info on this thread. Has anyone seen this??

https://europeanautosource.com/blog/...and-track.html

I think I might just mirror what these guys did, suspension and all. Thoughts? It sounds like 10s all the way around might cause some trouble.

Also any issues tracking with spacers? Just worried bc the several comments with loose wheels, vibrations, ect.

Thanks!

*updated link, sorry posted a wrong one before

No issues tracking on spacers. We have run them several times on the track and no problems. Most time problems occur from improper installation. ie... rust or debris on the bub causing it not to sit flush. Also if you wheels is not balanced correct a spacer might exaggerate the vibration.

What is the difference between lowered and non-lowered cars as far as spacers go? I'm confused on this issue. I mean, do non-lowered cars need the same spacers (10back, 12front)?

It's mainly cosmetic, when you lower the car it becomes more apparent that the rim/tire isn't flush with the top part of the fender, mostly in part of the negative camber you create when lowering the car, so spacers line everything up better and in theory gives you better handling due to the wider stance.

I am running Burger 12mm (front) and 10mm (back) and no issues whatsoever - they look great. Car is stock height for now but will be going to H&R springs soon.

When you drop the car, depending how far you go down the poke will become an important factor if you drive the car aggressively. Rim lip to fender lip is 10mm f and about 6-6.5 rear so I ran 10/7.5 this way I know it would clear under hard compression.

If you decide to go split width then shoot Ben G an email at bgannett@turnermotorsport.com

Thanks, loved your thread. I'll be interested to see if I get any fender rub during hard driving/compression with my current setup and once its lowered (once I get past break in .

Have you been happy with your H&R springs? I actually didn't realise I had to specify height when buying, I thought they just come as one spec for the M2 and that's it. Given you didn't get the advertised drop in the rear, in hindsight would you have specced them differently? To my eyes your drop looks perfect. Also - any issues in daily driving with the car lowered like this? Eg front lip scrapes etc?

I like the springs, drivability is good and mate well with the stock dampers. I also went with them on the recommendation from Heinlein racing.

H&R does come only one way & not offer a height drop option. They claim .8 drop f&r but after 3k miles I have more like .9-1 f & .7 R after alignment. It is a good drop though so can't complain. No issues driving the car lowered...just remember we have no warning sensors on the front. I found this out not paying attention.

Great, thanks for the feedback. That's a bit annoying the drop wasn't consistent, I wonder if that's an issue across the board or just with your set of springs. Either way your car looks great so I guess it's not a huge deal. Re no front sensors you just mean no front parking sensors, right?... noted... just the other day I drove the front up over a parking spot divider at the store, and realised had I been lowered it most likely would have scraped.
